How We Help

Common Cents

By using a little COMMON CENTS, the workplace
has become more rewarding for everyone.

Concerned about sinking credit and soaring bankruptcy, we began Common Cents in 2007.   A workplace financial education program, Common Cents gives employers the opportunity to give their hourly employees a better understanding of their finances.  More than 1,000 Memphis-area employees from 14 companies have successfully completed the curriculum in such topics as banking, budgeting, debt management and spending strategies.

The results will be increased productivity and decreased absenteeism.

That’s money.

What’s up with RISE:
1 in 5 employees have financial problems enough to affect productivity.
•  According to the Federal Reserve Bank, those employees will spend 20 hours a month on the job trying to resolve those problems.

UPDATE: RISE is offering Common Cents to staff at United Way of the Mid-South agencies.
